HOW IT WORKS

  1. Get signed up online
  2. Run or walk your 5k (3.1 miles).
  3. Complete your virtual run/walk by Oct 31st & upload your results- (based on the honor system)
  4. Complete your virtual run/walk by Oct 31st & upload your results- (based on the honor system)
  5. Awards will be handed out for:
    • Fastest male adult time uploaded
    • Fastest female adult time uploaded
    • Fastest male child time uploaded
    • Fastest female child time uploaded
    • Biggest team (as of 10/31/2020 at 9am)
    • Biggest fundraiser (as of 10/31/2020 at 9am)
    • Best costume – human
    • Best dressed pet
  6. For top race times upload your times
  7. For best costume, pet costume, direct Message (DM) your photos to the My Sister’s House instagram account @my_sisters_house. Participants/followers of the MSH Instagram page will vote to choose the winners.  We will announce winners on the Instagram page on Oct 31 after the live event. 
  8. JOIN US VIRTUALLY ON OCTOBER 31 ! VISIT OUR FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE where we will be live streaming to announce the winners.

WHAT

The 17th annual Run for a Safe Haven is going virtual! This means that race participants can support My Sister’s House from anywhere in the world!

Participants who sign up for a virtual race register online or on paper, choose their own starting line (their couch, their neighborhood …anywhere!) Run the race distance, upload your finishing time and we get to celebrate you!

By registering, you will receive a run t-shirt, custom bib number, and a recording of your 5k time in our event page.

WHEN

The race will be virtual from October 24-October 31. We will have live programming on Saturday, October 31.

Anywhere!

TEAMS

We encourage people to create virtual teams and fundraising. We will have a special award for the biggest virtual team!

PACKET PICKUP

Packet pickup will be at Fleet Feet at 2311 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816 on October 23 from 11am-5pm.

If you would like your packet mailed to you, you can choose that option for an additional $7 when you register. If you register before 10/19, we will be able to get you your packet before 10/31.

REGISTRATION

  • Individuals

    • Adult (25 & older) – $35

    • Youth & students (24 & under) – only $20

    • Kids (12 & under) – $10
  • Pets

    • This year, we have the option to register pets for $7.50 per pet. All proceeds go to My Sister’s House.
    • You can add pet registrations as an additional option after you register OR You can purchase pet registrations at the Team Store.
