How to form a Team

There’s no better way to support My Sister’s House than to tell your friends and family about it! Who wouldn’t want to support an organization working toward ending domestic violence in our community while having a great time – not to mention getting fit! Team Registration is easy!

In order to register your team, send an email to info@my-sisters-house.org and let us know your team’s name, your email and the name of the team captain.  We’ll get back to you shortly.

Team Requirements

      • Minimum number of team members needed to form a team is 10.
      • $32 each member with dri-fit t-shirt
      • $30 each member
      • Once our team has been set up, your learn from someone else about joining your team
        • Select the “CLICK NOW TO REGISTER” button below to be taken to the registration site.
        • Once there, please click the “register” button.
        • Then please select “5K Team Registration” (4th option).
        • Complete the prompts, and select “yes” for “Add participant 1 to a team”, and pick your team name from the drop down menu or type part of the name until you see it and then select it.
        • It’s not hard you can do it – we have complete faith in you!

**If you would like to register VIA paper copy please print the 2016 Run for a Safe Haven – Registration Form & Pledge Page. You can bring the form to pre-race packet pick up or race day,   e-mail the completed form to info@my-sisters-house.org, or fax to 916-930-0086.

 

Choose to add a little competition to the cause and Raise funds for My Sister’s House

While you  register with Race Roster you can choose to help us serve more domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking survivors by fundraising for our event. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Step 1: When you register your fundraising page is set up automatically.
Step 2: Simply direct you friends, family, colleagues and contacts to our Donation page.
Step 3: Have them click on “Participant” in the left hand column. They can type your name and voila!  Make a donation in support of your efforts to end domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.

For those overachievers, aim to raise as much money as you can for My Sister’s House,  or challenge another group of friends, co-workers, managers, your place of worship to raise  funds (invite your frenemies too – it’s for a good cause afterall).  Everyone will think you are cool because you gave back to a good cause.  My Sister’s House will recognize the biggest fund raiser (determined by donations collected  and turned in by noon on Friday October 21, 2016)  at our awards ceremony right after the race.

My Sister’s House tax i.d. is 68-0464114. Your contribution is tax deductible to the extent allowed by governing laws. For your tax records, this registration is your written acknowledgment of your contribution. Please note that race registrants receive goods and services valued at $15.00.

Costumes

Costumes are encouraged. Our Run for a Safe Haven is the Saturday before Halloween. We encourage people to dress up in family friendly comfortable costumes to get into the spirit of the season. We will recognize the person with the best costume.
